New Orleans French Quarter Festival
250 hours of free entertainment featuring more than 150 musical performances on fifteen stages throughout the French Quarter over a three-day weekend. Nearly 60 food and beverage booths located in Jackson Square, Woldenberg Riverfront Park, and the U.S. Mint will make up the "World's Largest Jazz Brunch," a signature event, featuring authentic local cuisine from renowned area restaurants. More than one dozen stages will rock the French Quarter throughout the three-day weekend. Music lovers will find traditional and contemporary jazz, Latin, rhythm and blues, Cajun and zydeco, New Orleans funk, classical, swing, rock, international and the many diverse sounds that are part of this city's rich cultural gumbo. Billy Lee & The Swamp Critters + San Diego Cajun Playboys at Roots & Folk Festival 2007
Make plans to attend the Adams Avenue Roots and Folk Festival 2007 and dance to Billy Lee and The Swamp Critters and San Diego Cajun Playboys. 34th Annual Adams Avenue Roots Festival — FREE ADMISSION, runs from Saturday 10am to 9pm and Sunday 10am to 6pm. The event is located on Adams Avenue from 34th to Wilson in Normal Heights. The Roots and Folk Festival provides a rare opportunity for its many accomplished musicians to come together in one place and showcase their talent. Last year, 30,000 attended the free two-day festival. This is truly an event that provides both enjoyment and cultural enrichment for the whole family.
